[color:#FF0000]Bloodshot Lies[/color]

Tom Adams and Janice wrote this western swing song that he produced and played steel guitar/electric guitar. I engineered Janice's vocal and then just went along for the ride. We wanted to share in the event anybody remembers this genre. Comments are always appreciated and we all thank you taking your time to listen and remark.

Just a great listen through and through.

A solid write. A super production. The piano is especially nice...

Janice's vocal gives me goose bumps. Stellar.

Tom's steel and guitar are perfect. Tasty.

Lane, we really do appreciate your comments. Hey, I wish I could take credit for "rock and roll" but that was a song on our playlist by another soundcloud friend.

Very cool hook. A nice blend of modern lyrics, but with that old style country vibe. Reminiscent of those old Patsy or Loretta records my mama would listen to. Once again, Janice's vocals melt me like hot butter. Excellent production! Enjoyed the tune. -TK

Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys are back! Great lyrics. This is one really swings. Janice and the band were on top of their game.

I thought the vocals on this were top class. Very entertaining listen, kept my foot tapping throughout the whole thing, which is always a good thing. The instrumentation solos were awesome as well, they changed enough to keep things interesting. Good stuff, good luck with it!

Thanks floyd! Janice read this and and said "awwwwwww......" Coming from somebody with your vocal chops that means a LOT!

Nice description of the song! Janice is a big fan of Patsy Cline and was tickled to hear her name mentioned. I said read this. See what he said about the vocal? With you and floyd pointing out the vocal maybe I can make some progress in convincing her that she is a fine singer!

Hi Janice and Bud,

This is a great example of how a "title" draws you in, and then the song delivers in spades. Western Swing with attitude. Excellent on all counts.

Hi Janice & Bud & Tom,

(I could say, "Janice, Bud & Tom, but it doesn't feel right to not say "Janice & Bud" -- like saying "peanut butter, jelly ...it just sounds wrong - lol!)

The song sounds awesome!
Doesn't get much better than enjoying Janice on a fine Tuesday morning!!
The slight humor in it is perfect .. the sneezing and Visine and the image of him hiding! It blends in with the seriousness in a really cool way!

Hi, J_B & T:

Western Swing was really "in-vogue" when I was a kid... and I could not understand it. Later, as common sense and culture "set in"... I began to appreciate most kinds of Country and Western Music... even Country Swing. I think it was Bob Wills and the "Light Crust Doughboys" who made it so popular in these parts... and I probably have the name of his band wrong... but he was the King of Texas for many years. (Enough of my babble!)

Home Run... Guys and Gals... this one is fun, musically delicious and J's vocals are always top notch. It's amazing how much talent hangs around here at Brian's Ranch. Enjoyed so much and please take a curtain call or two!

Hey Dave, we've listened to all permutations of Bob Wills' bands over the years great stuff. And he had some amazing musicians in the 1940's that were IMO comparable to the big swing bands. And, you got the name right!

Thank you very much for the kind remarks. Tom and Janice had a blast with this one.
