Sometimes happy little accidents fall right into our laps. So it was with this old public domain cartoon. I put it on wondering if some of it might work with a song from the new CD I had coming out with my mate Ed Woltil. As the film unfolded I could barely believe how beautifully it complemented the song. I barely had to take the scissors to it. Still thrills me actually. Please feel free to share if you concur. Cheers! Little Regrets

Regarding stumbling onto "Public Domain" Thingies...
Most of the poet Emily Dickinson's poems are not available to do anything with...
...Except for this one....Perhaps her most well known one...This one slipped through and is available to all and sundrey to do with it what you wish...
As for me, I turned it into a 10 minute short film, interveaving the lines of the poem into a modern day 5 character script....But enough about me...:-)
I will post the poem and let ya'll know that if anything in it "speaks" to you, you can do with it what you want without worrying about copywrights"...It is totally Public Domain:
Here is the poem....
“Hope” is the thing with feathers - That perches in the soul - And sings the tune without the words - And never stops - at all -
And sweetest - in the Gale - is heard - And sore must be the storm - That could abash the little Bird That kept so many warm -
I’ve heard it in the chillest land - And on the strangest Sea - Yet - never - in Extremity, It asked a crumb - of me.

As Emily Dickinson has been dead since 1886, why do you say her work is not in the public domain?? Also, for anyone looking for public domain stuff, here's a good site https://archive.org/
If writing ever becomes work I think I'm going to have to stop

"If one man can do it, any man can do it. It is true. But the real question is, if one man did it, are you willing to do what it takes to do it as well?" –Brian Austin Whitney
