Once upon a time, on Paul McCartney's birthday...two of my favorite artists decided to perform a pure McCartney show...this was the brilliant result: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NjYjXggjOnchope y'all get as big a kick as I do. and......some friends of mine did a documentary you might also enjoy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g-Yox81koI0

Lennon was my favorite, but I watched Paul performing some classic Beatle tunes on youtube and have to admit he can still do it.

Wow... of course the music was great and Paul is great, but for me, the best part of the entire experience of watching that entire video was the yearning it made me feel for being in a band and playing together and how much fun that is and how much I miss it. It's been 15 years since I played out live with a band, and nearly that long since I played out solo. I lost heart when my bandmate and co-writer was killed by the 9-11 attacks and I just forgot over time the joy we had jamming, whether it was on stage or rehearsing in my Chicago apartment with a live drummer, guitar, 30 keyboards, 3 back up singers and him on lead vocals. Passing stuff back and forth. Wow.. do I miss all that. Unfortunately health issues have robbed both my voice and my left hand to play the keys, but for some reason I almost felt like I was on stage with those guys and gals jamming those songs and having a blast.
Just what I needed today Mac. Thanks! -Brian

I find it uplifting, paying tribute to a master and pulling it off in gtand style.
