Barry, not exactly 'easy listening to' lyrics. But thanks for sharing and for caring.

Hey Mike.....Thanks for caring enough comment. It was a tough song to write but somebody HAD to. I take on Tough Assignments when called to by the Big Guy Upstairs. The toughest Assignments when I got the Call to write a song about the Holocaust......HOLOCAUST / NEVER AGAIN.....it's up at barrydbutler channel on youtube. How are YOU doing and want to wish you a Great Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year. God Bless, Barry

Losing two brothers in Viet Nam, I found this song a bit disturbing, but I guess that’s your point. I didn’t understand how he killed himself in the chorus and then the next verse he was coming home. Maybe somehow differentiate that they are two different people? If in fact they were.

He shot himself...check out the chorus above. The verse were his story and coming home and the recurring chorus was that he couldn't take it anymore and shot himself.
Iggy....IF you were disturbed I Did MY JOB WELL.
Thanks for the fantastic comment. I saw Montel Williams on TV today talking about this issue and I was compelled to re post this song I wrote a few years ago. NOBODY wants to hear these type of songs but if I get the tug to write them.....I do it because it's the right thing to do.....touch write though. Songwriting is NOT all about Entertainment to me....It's about a lot more than that. SO......This is what I do and post it on my youtube page for whoever stumbles across the songs. I'll be gone soon by my 330 songs up there will live on after I'm gone and it's nice to leave a footprint behind when we leave.
