Just got back from France and thought I'd throw something on and start getting back into things. This is one of my few face-to-face cowrites in Nashville. Oh, and I'm now retired http://www.soundclick.com/player/single_player.cfm?songid=12162578&q=hiTHERE'LL ALWAYS BE A KID INSIDE (verse) She sent me off to Lowe's to buy a kitchen sink But I stopped off at Best Buy on the way I came home with an X-box and a maxed out card She knows that's me so what else could I say? (Chorus) There's a man there in the mirror lookin' back at me Grown up on the outside but that's not the guy I see I feel young beyond my days And though I've changed in many ways Those dreams a young boy dreams have never died There'll always be a kid inside. (verse) I still love the Stooges when they're on TV I laugh at bathroom humor 'til I cry Paint my face all red and white on Saturdays When I watch college football with the guys (repeat chorus) (bridge) I dream about the future when my hair is grey And in my draw are tubes of Prep H and Ben Gay I've added on some pounds and have a slower stride But I've still got that twinkle right there in my eye. (repeat chorus) Copyright 2004 Bill Osofsky/Juan Albarran, BMI

C'est bien, Bill!!!
That's your theme song, isn't it? Always the kid at heart...
Tight write. Good sounding demo.
Very enjoyable listen.
Welcome home. And Congratulations.
Keep a pencil and paper handy...

Bill--
You'all have a fine song here!
It's OK to retire--just don't get tired!
I've been there for a good while, I squint looking in the mirror--my imagination lets that kid look back at me!
Good luck with this one!

Bill, congratulations on your retirement! That's awesome to hear. This was a very enjoyable tune. Great production on it. The melody of the song, as it stands, doesn't really set itself apart from other country songs, it sounds a little cookie-cutter. The lyrics are quite unique, so that could be enough to do it. Overall, it's very easy on the ears. Good luck with it, and congratulations again!

Hi Bill. You talking about me? People used to say I was a pretty boy, then later, I had rugged good looks. Now they just say I don't look my age. Another good write from you. On a different note, where did you go to in France? We go to Normandy and Cognac every year. I love it. Vic

Kyle Thanks, Kyle. The song is 10 years old. Maybe the melody was fresh at the time and everyone's been copying Juan Bill

Vic No, Vic. Wasn't talking about you. You look way too young. Started in Paris and cruised up the Seine to Normandy. Bill

I like most of it, Not buying he stopped at Lowes with Home Depot across the street, and a sale sign on the window.
LOL
Pretty cool Bill, the kid part for me is easy.

Good song with a universal appeal lyrically, Bill. Congrats on the retirement by the way.
