Great write Mike, I like your choices of melody, rhythm, patterns, and of course words. But maybe you can add an edgier sound. Although that background is definitively domestic.
I'd like to hear a bit of heavy or bluegrass or even marching tuba. Just something to put more bang in your patriotism.

Mike, I have to agree with the others, I think that first line is a lot to take in right away, especially when it's followed up with the other lighthearted verses. I thought this was cool though, some nice play on words and ideas.
