The title comes from a quote about the music business by Hunter S. Thompson and the story follows the wild ride of Ellis McClure from street musician to rising star in the L.A. music scene.
Author Joyce V. Harrison, a freelance writer is a songwriter/publisher member of ASCAP and a lifetime voting member of the Recording Academy (Grammys).
The book is dedicated to “all of us songwriters,” because, she says, “Most of us struggle to make a living in music and only a few achieve that.”
