As I scrolled down the list of participants appearing on the left side of the screen, I saw Bill's name and wondered why I have not seen any posts from him lately? Did I miss something? I sure hope he is okay.

He's living outside of Nashville now. I just don't think he is doing too much with music nowadays (or at least not as much). But I haven't seen anything from him a a couple of months either.

Man, it's difficult keeping track of all these members. I see the last time he made a reply was 1-23-2014. So he's only been inactive two months on JPF. John

Bill's regularly on Facebook. He's raising chickens and tapping maple syrup about an hour outside of Nashville.
You've got to know your limitations. I don't know what your limitations are. I found out what mine were when I was twelve. I found out that there weren't too many limitations, if I did it my way. -Johnny Cash It's only music. -niteshift Mike Dunbar Music

Thanks, Guys:
Glad to know Bill is Okay. Raising chickens and tapping maple trees for syrup sounds like work to me... but hey, whatever "floats one's boat" is what one should do.
If any of you are chatting with him, give him my regards.
Thanks,
Dave

Hey Dave, be assured Bill is here. He may be lurking, but I'm sure that he keeps up on things here.
He was one of the first people that I met on JPF. We've had agreements and disagreements. I've talked to him through PM, e-mail, and Skype. He's the real deal. I've always called him everyone's best friend because he comes across that way.

Hey Ben:
Thanks for "chiming-in" regarding Bill. I've never met him but always enjoy reading his opinions and posts. My main concern is that I believe he now lives alone and simply want to make certain that he is alright.
You are 100% correct about Bill being the real deal. He's one guy that always comes across as being willing to give the shirt off his back to help someone... and I admire that very much.
Good to hear from you.
Dave

Rest assured I am alive and kicking here in McEwen Tennessee. That's about an hour west of Nashville.
Thanks for checking up on me Dave. I appreciate the concern and the positive comments. It has been a maddening year, to much going on to even start listing it.
I have not been writing much but I am actually doing more music now than ever. I play every Friday night with a great group of folks in Tennessee City at the Community Center. My Grand Son in Law lives on the farm too and we play music plus I get together with a friend once a week when we both have time. I have three Great Grand sons here too. Unfortunately I have given up on the studio idea. Maybe someday if there is local interest.
I check in here now and then just to see how old friends are doing and I reckon it is rude of me to not at least make my presence known. I must correct that. JPF was my first real group of music friends and I should not abandon this wonderful resource. Oh!and I am not alone. I have my wife Sylvia, Mother in Law, Grand Daughter, her Husband and my three Great Grandsons living here at the "farm". We call it Wrensway.

Hi Bill:
I had no idea you had moved west of Nashville... or that you had so many family members with you at "Wrensway." I suspect you miss the studio but if you are playing "gigs" with friends and picking and grinning with kids and friends there at the farm, you are not too far away from my idea of Heaven.
Good to hear from you and that all is well. Thanks ever so much for reinforcing what the others had already told me. Take care and check in with us here whenever you have the time.
All my best,
Dave

Hi Noel and Mac:
Our daughter had a rooster (yep, Rhode Island Red) and he was Cock'o'the walk until the Coyotes got him. We called him Brewster the Rooster. Guess he's now in the Great Bird Sanctuary in the Sky.
Good to hear from both of you now that we know Bill is Okay.
Regards,
Dave

LOL I had two Roosters in Michigan, Isa Brown and a Road Island Red. The Red was a bit mean. We got a new brood of Chicks and some Turkey Chicks. That darn Rooster killed most of the Chicks and the Turkey Chicks. I thought a Coon or something had done it. When I was in the pen cleaning up the mess that Rooster went after another one and had it cornered and was beatin' the snot out of it.
Well I had a 2x4 in there that I used to prop up a door so I grabbed it and hit that Rooster up side the head. Needless to say he did not survive the hit. I figured he was probably too tough to eat considering how mean he was so I just let the critters have him.
I have found a source for a couple Roosters. Gonna pick one up this weekend.

Hi Lisa:
Now that was pretty darn funny. You have a quick wit and a wonderful sense of humor.
Bill:
You are right (so is Noel) about those Rhode Island Red Roosters being mean spirited. That Rooster at my daughter's place would try to spur anyone who came within it's sight.
Good luck with finding a replacement. I'm guessing they have a ton of 'em down at Grinder's Switch not too far from you.
All the best and thanks for giving us something to crow about.
Dave
