here's one from things i ponder.Thanx!Mike http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=12705897Borderline Killing time on the borderline,of Heaven and Hell If i died which of the side, would have me in its dwell Would i hear the call, ohhhh Who'd catch me when i fall Wasting time on the borderline,of evil and the good If my last breath would greet me death, would my life be understood Would i see the light, ohhhh Would darkness steal my eyes I thirst on the water I feed on the fire It's a grave decision Who did i inspire Now's my time on the borderline, for Satan or Christ Now my soul could be saved or tolled,it's how i sacrificed Will i earn my wings, ohhhh Will Hells bells ring I thirst on the water I feed on the fire It's a grave decision Who did i inspire

Michael,
A great mood setting tune! Lyrics are a good match for the rather dark sounding music. Cool song!

nice mix of the guitar and fiddle (which fiddle patch is that?), Nice vocals on this one, you are coming into your own on this stuff. Overall a pretty dang production. Interesting lyrics, tells a good story of the internal conflict we all go through.

Wow Mike! great feel.... the violin takes me to a whole new place. I closed my eyes and tried to imagine where I was sitting: a southern plantation, a movie, a brothel? The violin added the perfect amount of insanity, right on the edge and I mean right up to the 'edge'. That was crazy good for imagery. Aaron

Hey Mike,
You are the most improved writer of the year here IMO. Nice work! I'd bring up your vox a hair and back off a hair with the music, with the exception of the solos. Super job!

The term "grave decision" is truly inspired writing. The chorus really stuck hard with me and that's ALWAYS a good indicator of a strong lyric and melody. I agree with a lot that's been said already. The arrangement here is absolutely mesmerizing and suits the story perfectly. You are definitely one of my favorite listens on the board and your stuff never disappoints. I loved it.

Mike,
Gotta agree with everything that's been said.
This is excellent. INSPIRED lyric. Cool melody (the interludes where great). Good vocal. Perfect instrumentation.
One of your best among a lot of very good ones...

I like it. The guitar has a feeling of time passing, time running out, devine fingers thrumming on the table as if in the midst of a big decision.. The violin is great. I love the topic.

"Would darkness steal my eyes"......
This is such a tortured thought, an amazing write, love the chorus. Can't believe how you have gotten a handle on that software...so impressed...
But the write Michael....just brings me to tears with the deepness of that pondering.....you know how much I admire your writing my friend, this is fab. I've been missing you.
