She's got a classic R&B voice that's for sure. Solid sparse, but full, instrumentation and great harmonies. They would be a "special treat" to see live! They are ALL singing!

The nice thing about this group is they are playing real instruments. Good sound. Kinda takes you back. Maybe like Johnny Cash and the Tennessee Three. And for you Tech Geeks that is a Dynamic Mic the girl is using.

I've heard about them before, and I know that they supported Yonder Mountain String Band. Think I've heard some of their stuff aswell.

I LOVE Shovels and Rope. If I'm right, Michael is Buck's son.

It is really cool sounding with great vocals though. The beat is Motown for sure http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=upnrXooMh4s

Then again, something new and different, doesnt mean new and great!
Music that tips the hat to the music that came before, is how ya do it.

I know, my boy James Maddock has been on everything and is defintely not the NEXT best thing, but what he is IS great. What I meant was, sometimes the next big thing is garbage! I like what I heard, they are really really good. But sure, Maddock has been on Letterman and cbs this morning. Joe Grushecky has been a musician his whole life, never was the NEXT big thing, but better than most. But I was picked on here for stating accolades of artists. Here's a few guys that I think are better than most artists making millions but are currently NOT, and probably wont. http://screen.yahoo.com/second-cup-cafe-james-maddock-135546263-cbs.htmlhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3NeI7PwVd6g

I think I'm the next big thing.
I've been writing on this song since I bought my clip on guitar tuner a few weeks ago. This is all I have so far:
I bought a clip on tuner for my old guitar Gonna practice a lot till I'm a superstar Gonna debut down in Powersville The folks are gonna love cause I'll give 'em a thrill They'll think I'll Elvis or Johnny Cash I'll be doing encores and I'll be a smash
