Don't I wish I could fly? (rewrite) v Ain't got two dimes to rub together clothes I'm wearing won't keep out the weather The winters harsh this year in Tennessee these shoes won't take me where I prefer to be c Don't I wish I could fly? Don't I wish I could fly?- No need for walking shoes- That's me soaring through the winter sky. Find me a place where I need to shade the sun from my eyes Don't I wish I could fly? Don't I wish I could fly? v She's gone, she wont be coming back first Christmas alone in our little shack Midnights bad enough when loneliness can kill you Christmas Eve Santa will forget to call as usual b Least I've got my brother living close by me wife roasts the best bird in the whole of Tennessee Then we can give my batch of moonshine a try though we ain't got wings I believe we could fly

Nice Travis, I got a groove for this as I read it. I myself got a mid to uptempo blues feel. Good work.

Hi Travis,
I'm liking this! I like how he's down and out, but he still has his brother and someone to share Thanksgiving with. It feels very real, in a sad but still hopeful way!
I saw a comedian a few months ago who says it's a good thing he can't fly or he'd be wreaking havoc. For instance, he'd fly out the window during a traffic jam and drop a bird bomb on the car windshield ahead of him -- lol!
