Dear Mom,
This local rock and roll band wants me to manage them. What do you think? Love Brian Epstein.
I mean really what is the downside?

They have rhythm and pitch and look good. I think your challenge would be to make them sound unique and modern.

I don't see why not. The other replies coincide with my thoughts on the subject. While the music is not what I normally listen to I would say that I wouldn't have a problem tossing a song or two into a music folder for rotating listens. Like Michael said, They sound better than a good number of "professional" rock bands. The only problem I see is they are more than likely too good to get national radio play. Oh the crap that's on standard commercial radio...... But I digress. Yes, produce a CD for the guys.

Tom, the reality is those "kids" are better than good.

They need a musical makeover and a marketable sound. Their current sound might have a small, niche market, but nothing that would break into the mainstream. They seem to have a good look and the vocalist is pretty awesome. If you want to work with them, develop them, and help them find that "sound", I'd say go for it.

Tom, the vocals and guitar are strong, do they play own originals only? There is a song that I suggested to work on with a singer, but he has some problems already half year... so, maybe, they could consider it for their repertoire? This is just a sample without a top line, but it exists already: http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=12102797

Yeah --- I think that the guys at Sadson Music Group and I could help some --- but I am most concerned if they have the basics and potential .....
Alek, thanks for the offer but they only play their own songs

I listened again and I would say that they are very capable of doing what they are doing. Is there a market for another 80s hard rock/Led Zep band? Probably not. So the key is, can they write good songs and make them sound current? Good songs make or break artists and are probably more important than most other factors.

Colin you are right ----- I am not looking for a commercial success - just want to produce another cd that will be worthwhile from a musical perspective......
Thanks much
