Tune in tomorrow (Sept.7/8 2013 at midnight)for the Nashville WSM Radio Ernest Tubb's Midnight Jamboree, worlds' second oldest radio show, after the Grand Ole Opry, and it is...after the Grand Ole Opry on WSM. LOL. This week is the Ernest Tubb Tribute hosted by his nephew Glenn Tubb (writer of Skip a Rope and Two Story House). The special guest will be Tommy Cash, brother of superstar Johnny Cash. Tommy has had several hits of his own, including "Six White Horses." They've asked me to be bandleader, so I'm writing charts now. You can listen here: http://www.wsmonline.com/shows/ernest-tubb-midnight-jamboree/

Sounds like another feather in your cap. Any chance they could move the Midnight Jamboree to an earlier time slot?!

"I'M WALKING THE FLOOR OVER YOU". or "I KNOW MY BABY LOVE'S ME" In her own pecular way.
Which Ernest Tubb Record Shop is the Midnight Jamboree at? I think it used to be the one close to the Ryman. Is it the one by Opry Land now?

Colin, last year they experimented with recording it at 10pm to broadcast it after the Opry. The musicians complained because if they were doing a gig that finished by 11 they could come and play or listen to the jamboree. After a couple of months they went back to doing it live. Thanks, Bob, yep he's a fine singer and a real gentleman. Everyone I've met from the Cash family and organization have been good folks. Ray, yes, it's the one by Opryland. They have a big theater there next to the record shop, the Texas Troubador Theater. It's not as cold in the winter as the downtown shop. LOL. Here's info on the theater: http://www.etrecordshop.com/tttlogo.htmhttp://www.etrecordshop.com/index.shtml

I remember "Skip A Rope". Had the 45 when I was kid. I'll listen in if I can stay awake 'till then. Have to take a bath first.
