All but those who watch nature shows will like this Stan...while those who know will say "male lions can't hunt for ^&*&)" Seems female lions hunt together and raise the young, while the males don't really co operate very well, mostly hunting alone and relying on ambush... But that is the head against the heart...why ruin a nice lyric
If writing ever becomes work I think I'm going to have to stop

HiYa BurleyBuddy!!!
Yeah, I sorta Walt-Disneyed this Plotline a wee-bit... ;-)>
But..heh..THIS Lion can go to the Flea Markets, on any given Sunday, and spend $100 & come back with around $300-Worth of Stuff. (Rowrrrr! Heh-heh!)
Particularly-Proud of a Housecall I did locally last week: This lucky couple'd sold their house in 8 days... Had a decent clock collection he wanted to get rid of, and I was hired for $130 to come out & re-hang middle weight on a Grandmother Clock & get it running & saleable, which I did.
Ended up taking it in-trade & writing a $325 Check for 5 Clocks out of his collection, plus picked up 2 others on-consignment. 4 of the 5 I'm keeping (& worth over $1200) and the 5th I've repaired (A small Crystal Regulator)..to sell for $150. So..I'll have $305 invested in $1200-worth of Clocks, when the dust settles. (Plus about $600-More Profit when the 2 on-Consignment sell...which cost me nothing.)
Soo...Rowrrr...I kinda LOVE "The Hunt"... (Selling's the Slow Part, alas, these days...but I'm in no big hurry, I only keep the Top Notch Stuff.)
As for REAL Lions, the lucky devils have 3-5 "Wives"...father lotsa Kids, but meet Cruel Fates when they're older & can no-longer Rule The Pride...(& some Younger Upstart beats the heck out of 'im & takes-over.)
DID kinda hint at that fate, towards the end verse...heh! If not Another Lion, Old Age certainly does us ALL in, sooner or later-- ;-)>
Anyhews, I'll agree witCha this ain't exactly 100% Factual...but nothing Often Is...
Thanks for Commentin' & Settin' The Record Straight, Good Buddy! Best Wishes & a Big Guy-Hug, Stan

HiDee T-Bro!!!
Dunno 'Bout Zoo-Living, but out on the Velt, it must be Mostly-Fun bein' The King of Beasts. (During "The Reign", at-least!)
& no matter what Anyone Says, when those BIG teeth and Bright Yellow Predator Eyes are comin' in any OTHER animal's direction, those Big Bad Boys RULE...heh-heh-heh!
Thanks for Visitin' & Commentin' Fellow Leo-Heart! Best Wishes & a Big Guy-Hug, Stan

Why do I think you would have made a great lion, after reading your song? I guess it's your lines in your lion story. Hee! Hee! Another winner for me! Where do you get your lines from?

G'Mornin' Mz MD!!!
It truly IS these days..heh!
Waal, at least even the Big Cats have 9 Lives...or so... ;-)>
Kinda need 'em...just to get-by...(& So Far, I've been pretty good-&-lucky...Real Estate's Sold/Shelves are almost all-built, & I've got 3 more months to move it ALL out...)
Thanks for Your Kind Visite, M'LadyChum! Best Wishes & a Big Hug, Wee FHS too, Stan

HiYa Mz Summer...(Your Cat looks SOOO Contented!)
Yeah, I've got a Leonine Streak in me (Hope I used That Word Right..heh!)..which Does Include letting La Femme do most All the Cooking, Washing, & Cleaning... ;-)>
But, in true Lion fashion, I'm on The Hunt most of the week for the Next Buck...&, 99% of the time, that's what I return-with.
Glad our kids are all-raised, so now I can lie in a hammock & sun myself...after all the Moving's accomplished. Came to FL in '73..having Scuba Dived all over the globe, HOPING to do more of it...but I've only been diving Twice in all 40 Years we've lived here. THAT'S how-busy the Clock Biz has kept me...that & The Bills..heh!
Wifey wants a nice new Compact Car when the Property's finally closed-upon. I'd kinda like a Boat..heh! BIG coin-toss Ahead, I'm suspecting...(Roars'll accomplish NADA..heh-heh!)
All my lines I give God and Spiritus Mundi credit-for...Ideas filter in-&-out all day long...&..Sometimes I get to sit down & Channel-Away!
Many Thanks for Your Kind Visit, Mz S! Best Wishes, Big Hugs, & a Wee FHS, Stan

G'Mornin' BroJoe!!!
Yeah, some days I feel like the King of Beasts...others, waal, they CAN make a Guy feel like he's lower'n a Garden Slug..heh-heh!
But..I'm feelin' on the Triumphant Side, as I chuck the Clock Shop Buildings/Pay all the Jackal Creditors Off, and get ready to Stretch-Out and bask in the Sun a wee-but!
AND, I finally got my Bucket-Listed 'Nam Remembrance CD" off-the-list last month, with Mike Dunbar's Magnificent Help, en route to visit alla my Fellow Fossils at Berea High's 50th Class Reunion... ('Nuther Bucket List Affair..heh! Great to see "Who's Survived/How-Well?"
I'm endin' up FAR from wealthy...but...there's always Hopefully that Welcome Stretch between Retirement and Visitin' Our Makers that ya hope'll Be There..for at least a little while!
Your New One's inspired me to pen one on Reincarnation...Stay Tuned!
Thanks for Your Always Kind Words & Visit, Good Buddy! Glad to see Ya Back!!! Best Wishes & a Big Warm Guy-Hug, Stan
