Well, Douglas effed up by pointing out the external mic on my laptop. Here's another raw demo of a little prayer I said after moving to Gun Barrel City. I hope I got the volume issue's corrected. Please let me know if that is not the case. Thank you. http://www.reverbnation.com/openmikemusic/song/18474842-lord-take-me-home-again-demoLord Take Me Home Again copyright 2013 OpenMikeMusic Lord take me home again. Is this the place I can rest my head? And I wanna stay but I gotta pray for a better way to live. Cause I don't know which way to go and the cross is up ahead, and I can't see how far I'll be from you if I go left, to get back home, again. This feels like home again is this the place I can raise my hands? If I'm gonna stay I gotta pray with heart and not my head, Cause if it's real then I should feel him move inside of me but if I'm wrong should I move on if home is where I wanna be? Lord, take me home again.

Hmmmm Link is working for me. Anyone else having problems with this one? I just tried your Find Me link also and could barely hear it. I then tried one of my own songs on Soundlink and heard it fine.

soulful and sad at the same time. the simple guitar and vocals really brings it out IMO. good thing I reminded you about the built in microphone so that we may hear as well as read. douglas

Hmmmm Link is working for me. Anyone else having problems with this one? I just tried your Find Me link also and could barely hear it. I then tried one of my own songs on Soundlink and heard it fine. Well it is recorded straight into my external mic on my laptop and I know that the volume is lacking but the link takes you to ReverbNation...perhaps the volume on THAT player is turned down? Max your volume if you are listening to any "demo" I post since the production is absent for the moment. Sorry brother and thank you for stopping by.

Yes Sir....can't thank you enough, Doug! This will do for the time being until I record these like they should be.
Cheers

I don't know what it is, Mike. I tried another random song on Reverb, it was fine. Then I went back to your page and the 3rd and 4th songs were fine. But I can't hear the first two, still

I can hear it only if I turn my KRK monitors wide open and then it's still way too quiet to appreciate the tune. Kinda scary having them turned up to 11! Dunno what's going on....but I gave it my best effort. I'll try again later.

Blues...got computer maxed out and external computer speakers too....this on the american songspace link...can't give you any feedback, cause I can't really hear it
But I did listen with one ear to the speaker as I read the words...
But, I still can't give you any feedback on this except on the lyric, so it would be incomplete....
sorry....we need you back to the studio blues...

My studio right now is one mic directly into my laptop. I'll get to working on the problem.
Thanks Steve

Nice little introspective piece, Mike. I'm assuming sections 2 and 4 are your chorus. The structure's different, not bad or wrong, just different. The verses have some chorus repetition to them and the changing chorus moves the story along. Maybe could use a bridge to kick her up to 3 minutes if you have any more to add. Really enjoyed the sound of it.

You're right Bill...especially for a song that maintains the same progression throughout....again, it's supposed to be a prayer, so it is a little odd in its presentation but a bridge WOULD break up the monotony and turn it from a prayer to a song.
Thanks for all your help, Bill!
