You used to bring me red roses Lie with me in dreams at night Watch the sun rise in my eyes Now all you want to do is fight
Today you tried to beat me again Hit me hard and push me around I grabbed your keys to the pickup truck Shoved you away and drove out of town
This time I won't forgive you I've got a shot gun cocked in my hand Buddy, I've got revenge brewing And I'm gonna' take a tough stand
....So
Chorus:
Kiss your new ride goodbye Say Adios Kiss your new ride goodbye It's toast I'm drivin it up to Justice cliff Puttin it in neutral and lettin it go Watchin it burst into flames, burn and explode Imagine the look on your face When you find a junker in its place You'll drown yourself in booze searchin' for a trace
Congratulations to you sport Your picture's in the Hall of Shame Along side all the other jerks That think wife beatings a game
You're not mistreating me again Cause you're a shadow of the past But I'm gonna hit your where it hurts And get out of this Hell hole fast
....So
Outra Chorus
Kiss it goodbye Kiss it goodbye Kiss it goodbye It's toast

Now this has got spunk! I'm liking this one. You have some catchy phrasing and a good feel of angst. Only part I saw offhand that I think might need a tweak, is the "sparklers" line. Could be just me, but it just didn't ring right for some reason. That's all I got, except to say I think this is good stuff. Good job on this Summer. You came back with a vengeance.

Not totally-sure if Singer's Revenge-Trampin'-Around makes her "Look Good", but my guess is his friends'll all be-Appreciative...heh! Definitely enjoyed the gal's Spunk/God Help the ex-Beau!

Thanks James for your comments, you were right. I changed it to lit a fire in my eyes. I think it reads better know. I had so much fun writing this. I got the idea from this article from Brittney Spears. Star Magazine, Radar Online, Jason Alexander and the rest of you liars, Ya’ll can kiss my lily white southern Louisiana hiney! I put hiney in place of a--s. Such a fun revenge song. Summer

Douglas, glad you like it. I'm from Canada, Kitchener Ontario, but I moved to Phoenix, if you think Montreal is hot. Try HOT, Phoenix Arizona's temperatures. Today 110. Ha! Ha! That's HOT!!!
Thanks for stopping by

I think a song like this grows out of personal experience. I kept thinking of Miranda Lambert.

Hi Summer,
Hee hee -- the images here cracked me up, even though she's MAD!! Very amusing!
One logistical thing that bothered me and I can't think right off hand how I'd change it...but if he's told beforehand that it's going to hit him in the jaw, then he's not very likely to bend over and kiss that little white hiney.
If there's any way to change the wording so that he bends over and THEN it hits him in the jaw, without him knowing it, I think that the punchline would be much more powerful. I know the implication is there, but still -- he's being pre-warned and I think it should come as a total surprise for him -- and the listener!

P.S. I had a thought...maybe in the chorus, say, "don't worry, it's NOT gonna hit ya in the jaw." And then, at the end, POW?! I don't know -- just having fun thinking about it!

Lisa, you don't actually think he's going to kiss her hiney? Hee Hee! This song is meant for her to get rid of her anger. It doesn't matter if she warns him or not. He ain't going to kiss her hiney. He won't stoop that low. Hee! Hee! But thanks for the suggestion and the nice visit. As always. Summer

Now this was saucy! One particularly saucy line: "Get puckerin' up those lips/ A spots waitin' for ya, just below my hips " On the "Don't close your eyes, it's a surprise" wouldn't you want to close your eyes if it was a surprise? Nice work!

Hey Chris, thanks for your visit. You're right, I changed it to close your eyes. This song idea is from Brittney Spear's reply in a tabloid to some offenders of her image. She said You can kiss my Southern Louisiana A---s. I changed it to hiney, much more dignified.
Ha! Ha!

Juicy, funny stuff! Good writing, this one. But I can't help to think what bells and whistles would go off in his head if his she dropped trow right in front of him. He might see it as a chance at reconciliation or, God forbid, he does more than KISS it...he is pissed, ya know. I see women loving this one more.....I can see them singing this one in the streets, fists pumping,....... For the guys upon hearing the chorus, I see a wicked smile and a "Hmmmmmmmmmmm....!" Perhaps Im reading too much into it. However, had my ex gf bared her ass to me in anger, I might just have to pop something in it. 'Course, I loved this, ....the remarks I said were merely "tongue in cheek." Very fun write.

Thank you for the comments. Coming from you Michael, I feel honored since, your a seasoned song writer. I would love to put this song to music, but I'll have to wait until I can join Songu. I'm hoping someone will co-write the music. Myself, I can hear someone who sings attitude songs, sing this. Summer

I'm honored that you're honored but I have yet to make any headway as of yet in my writing. Please save that honor for someone who has made a name for themselves. I'm hopin for the best with this new batch of songs I'm workin. Thank you, Summer.

Hey Lisa, you got to tell me which video and song that was. I don't remember which one. The only one I know is Jesus Take the Wheel, I don't think she slashed the tires in that one! LOL.

Love the attitude as well Summer, and that bridge is top notch
maybe there's room for this?
Just to get it through your brain so tiny you can kiss my metaphorical hiney hope it hits you right between the eyes and after that, hard on the jaw
If writing ever becomes work I think I'm going to have to stop

Thanks John for your visit and for your suggestion of the verse, but I don't even know what metaphorical means, so I could hardly use it in my lyrics. Thanks for your encouraging comments though.

Hi Summer,
Loved reading these lyrics, I can tell you had lot of fun putting them together. What else can I say that hasn't been said other than the first thing I thought reading this: God help the guy that inspired this, haha.
