#974696 - 08/30/1205:44 PMTraining For The Malaguena Pt 1 & Pt 2
Keeping a childhood promise I made to my late Dad I'll be trying to learn the song.
Part 1 - 4:00 mins
Part 2 - will start the process of breaking it down and learning all the new techniques. Until I can obtain a bionic arm like Roy has, I'll be using fingers only and approaching the song with the Nylon String guitar.
When Jimmy Capps, one of Nashville's alltime great session players, was auditioning for the Louvin Brothers he was asked if he could play Malaguena. He said he couldn't and the Charlie Louvin said "Heck it don't matter. We don't sing it that often."
"A lot of people will tell you that preparation is what will make you successful. But I think that people misunderstand exactly what that means sometimes. The type of preparation you need most is the kind that allows you to instantly seize an opportunity, change your course based on a momentary circumstance, and grab hold of the totally unexpected when it happens, and allow it to take you for the ride of your life! That is the kind of preparation that can lead to the most enjoyable type of success." -Brian Austin Whitney
