Hello JPF Friends, I haven't posted anything in quite a while so when I finished this song I thought it would be a good opportunity, This one is a departure for me from the blues genre. I put this in the Progressive Rock category on SoundClick, but I'm not sure if that's appropriate or not? I think it could use some instrumental parts if anyone is interested? Hope you like it. http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=12326245From out her deck of cards she reached and pulled the Queen of Hearts And as the twilight fell she wove me in a magic spell Resistance drained away by the power of her charms I heard he say to me that heaven was in her arms But all night long the devil keeps singing her song All night long - I'll make love to you With many memories I decorate my mind Of maidens who were sweet and treated me so kind With fairest features and the fashions of the day With these maidens happily the hours pass away but all night long... In light of maturation there is one with whom I stay And by our bed each night we fold our arms and pray But all night long ... http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=12326245

Hello Friend!!
This is very different and it is very catchy.
Did you put effects on the vocals?? I wonder about the treatment of them in making it seem a bit garbled. The melody really sticks and it seems really original, I like it, but would love to hear a cleaner vocal on it.
Happy to see you!!
Tammy Hi Tammy, Good to hear from you! The verse melody got in my head so strongly that I had to write it out and this is what I came up with for lyrics. The vocal riff for the chorus was a separate discovery that popped out one day and fortunately got recorded so once the chorus lyric which has a weird rhyming pattern came along to contrast the verse it all fit together so I must have been hearing it all along. Anyway, to answer you - yes I did put lots of processing on the vocals - trying to blend it , but probably mushed it up too much. Since this is a missmash of various recording efforts I'm not sure how much I can clean it up. But I will look at remixing it, because I know you have a great ear for vocals. Thanks, Pete
