Hey it's sounding a whole lot better, it's good enough to make that woman come in off the ledge and start living again. ~~~MFB III Thanks Matt for the continued interest. Stevie

Hi Stevie,
IMO the other mix sounded better overall. The drums and vocal are REALLY bright in this one. Still a good story and tune, but the mix didn't improve IMO... Sorry,
Peace,
Ian

Ian What are you listening through Ian? The mix is the same but I added a new bass part with my Hofner and a new vocal. Everything else is exactly the same. I've played it through my monitors, headphones, and two car stereos and it sounds fine on this end. Thanks for the feedback though. Stevie

Stevie, Just got a listen to this one. I like the lyrics and the melody. I can hear it with a little more swing to it. Maybe syncopated a little, if that's the word for it. But it's a nice piece of inspirational writing.

Hey Stevie: Taking another listen here - that bass sound great! Scott Thanks for the second listen Scott. I love the Hofner. It's extremely easy to play compared to other basses and on Beatles type bass lines it has a distinct, clear and unique sound. I've been playing it in churches and someone, especially the soundmen always compliments the sound I get out of it. I can tell the Beatles fans in the audience too cause they stare at it the whole time, lol. Stevie

I was looking for another song from around this time and found this one. Didn't realize anyone else had commented on it so I wanted to thank you. Hey Nite, I appreciate your feedback and the listen. I've listened again and really loving it, I like this verse the most.....
I saw a weary old man Fishing with his fears A savior with a promise Lit his darkened pier And then I watched him follow Those footprints in the sand And on the lips of a sinner
glyn A smile returned again

Very nice Stevie.
That bass does sound great. I just saw a used Hofner in a store the other day. I didn't see this one the first time around. Really nice lyrics, the chorus lyrics are cool, but I'm not sure I get their true meaning, as they seem paradoxical--which I'm sure you intended. Enlighten me. Are you associating "dreams" with faith?
I would like to hear you pull or fade the volume down slightly on the last "dre-ea-eam," as if you were backing off the mic a bit.
Great song Stevie!

Inspirational Beach Music? Could be a new genre. "It's a true story based upon a dream"...that's heavy. There are a lot of good lines in this one.

Thanks for the review, Eddie. As for the chorus...Don't worry...It's just a dream. Stevie
