We are only as strong militarily as we are economically and our economy is shameful!!

N Korea has too many interal problems and relies too heavily on aid from China to even contemplate ruffling the feathers of the south or any other nation for that matter. They know it would be suicide to take any serious military action therefore any show of strength or bravado is just a facade to lull its people into falsely believing N Korea has some power against the outside world. The generally uneducated and ignorant population are fed so much propoganda and told so many lies and are so afraid of speaking out of turn that they accept or believe anything told to them by their fantastic leader. They treat their leader like a God and in turn they are kept poor and ignorant of what goes on both inside and outside their country.....if only they knew what we know things might be different.

Agreed Jim. They do this about once a year so the USA will try to appease them with more foreign aid.

Hmmm.. the majority believing the relentless false propaganda from their leader and thinking he is a God (and in many case the only allowable God with Religion being systematically pushed aside y those in power) which keeps them ignorant of the truth and leads to economic disaster.. sounds really familiar... oh... you mean North Korea.. whew.. thought you meant another similar situation I am familiar with...

We have nothing to fear in Korea except bailing out S. Korea if a war did break out and us having another major war which would lead to attacks on Israel and the US would be hosed having to choose between our only two real allies in the mid/east and SE Asia. (If you count Australia and Japan, it's our only two real allies West and South of Europe in my view... did I miss anyone?) And by allies, I really mean countries with enough economic or military power to help us if the chips were down. Frankly, add on the UK and I am not sure who else we could count on in the entire world in that regard. We're already protecting most of Europe either via airbases or agreements. Who else could help us against the Middle East, Asia, Africa, South America etc. The Philippines? Columbia? We have Canada to our North who smartly doesn't like war, but would have our back but their military power is limited. I am not sure who else the US could count on to help, and some of the remaining powers may secretly be against us if the chips were down.

I am not worried about what we owe China if everything crashes.. they own our govt. but not the American people who would overthrow our Govt. in a heartbeat in a major crash. The question is would the left take on the right militarily in the USA to keep current govt. in control with the rest of the world siding against us as well. I guess we'd learn quickly if we're two parts of the same whole or truly two different worlds in the same country. And I wouldn't trust Mexico to be on our side, they have already ceded control to the drug cartels. Drug cartels LOVE communists and dictators.

Over course if anyone pushes the button, I'd rather be on a self sustaining Pacific Island that nobody cares about. Because few countries will thrive after every enemy major city and capitol is removed from the earth as well as most of our humans.

So how about people chill?

PS: If we wanted to screw the Chinese, we'd just print 20 1 trillion dollar bills, pay it all off (and the debt), brace for inflation but without any Natl. Debt. and watch their entire country implode with no jobs, no women for their men (a very serious problem) no money and little hope to pay their own bills with the world currency being the dollar.
