Hey everyone,

As we all know recording and manufacturing quality product is expensive. Here's a great opportunity that's open to bands across New England. Check it out and pass it down the line:

"Memorial Fund Battle to Help Pay Band's Costs"

6/12/2005

PLYMOUTH – Original musicians from across New England are
ALL invited to compete in the first annual "Ryan J. Lariviere Memorial
Fund Battle of the Bands" July 22, 2005 at Pufferbellies Entertainment
Complex in Hyannis, Massachusetts.

Ryan was a 21-year-old musician from Plymouth who died 2 years
ago from injuries sustained in a car accident. Following his death,
his parents Rick and Marie Lariviere of Plymouth, set up a memorial
fund to help offset expenses for other aspiring original
musicians.

This 501(c) 3 nonprofit is operated by a volunteer advisory board,
and is soliciting demo tapes and CDs from original musicians across
the region for the competition. A group of performers will be selected by the
board to compete in the Battle of the Bands. Both solo artists and full
bands are encouraged to apply.

The winner of the Battle will receive 48 hours of paid studio time to record
and master a professional CD, 1,000 professionally illustrated, printed and
packaged CDs, and housing accomodations at the Lariviere's private, lakeside
campground, the same place where Ryan's band "Dismal" stayed when they
recorded their first CD. The home is conveniently located just minutes from
where the winners will record the CD.

Bands who are interested in participating in the contest are invited to send their
tapes or CDs to the RJL Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 2439, Manomet, MA 02345.
Sound quality of submissions is not important. Submission deadline is June 30, 2005.

The First Annual Battle of the Bands is sponsored by the Ryan J. Lariviere
Memorial Fund, Cape Cod’s Rock PIXY 103, Pufferbellies Entertainment
Complex in Hyannis, Musicians Development Institute of Cedarville (MDI Studios)
and ADA Nimbit Services in Framingham.

Admission for the Battle is $10 per person. All proceeds benefit the Ryan J. Lariviere
Memorial Fund and go towards funding future battles. For contest information and
submission guidelines, visit the RJL Memorial Fund Web site at www.rjlmemorialfund.com
