2018 is rapidly coming to an end. It has been a year that has had a lot of heartache, so I can't say that I will miss it. However, it started out as the best year I have had so far as a songwriter because Matt Westin and record producer Bryan Cole chose to use a song of mine on his debut album "Legacy". Little did I know last January the irony of this song being chosen, and how the lyrics would take on an "all to real" meaning over the course of the next few months. Another bright point of the past year though is that I have gotten to know Matt, and I am proud to call him friend. In 2019 he will be playing the role of young Johnny Cash in the movie 116 MacDougal, so I can't wait to see how his career explodes. This is Matt's recording of my song "Don't Feel the Rain". It will mark a special place in my heart for the rest of my life.
