New Orleans

Hauntings and Cemeteries

December 2000

New Orleans is known for it's above ground cemeteries. Brian is standing next to the Voodoo Queen's Tomb....It's Cursed! A family plot...some people want to be buried so they raise a plot of ground and shallowly bury them.
The cemeteries are like creepy cities of the dead. Marie Laveau....the Voodoo Queen.
Offerings to the Voodoo Queen...made at the wrong crypt. Offerings to the Voodoo Queen.
This is what the crypts look like inside...Families use them over and over. Dennis Hopper is thought to be the reason this statue has no head...see the movie Easy Rider. Marie Leveau's Tomb. Notice the markings on the outside.
This roach is dead...and an offering to the Voodoo Queen. The dentures were from a body that was buried in this plot...Yuck. This vertebrae was on top of a burial plot. When new bodies are buried...the dirt is mixed and bones rise.
