| In the last 9 years we've visited most of the US and Canada during one of our Just Plain Folks Roadtrips. We've hosted hundreds of Showcases featuring thousands of artist performances. We also host workshops, chapter meetings, networking events and gatherings of all types and even take a little time for tourism when we can. We hope to expand our Roadtrips to include Europe and Australia as our membership grows in those areas. If you'd like to get involved, follow the listings of the Roadtrips in our newsletter and sign up for events anywhere you are interested in participating. 2007 Just Plain Folks Roadtrips We're heading back on the road to meet you all in person! We've got tours set in the US Midwest, US Southeast and our first ever visit to Europe and the UK (details on Europe will be posted in July). Below you'll see the dates and locations for the summer tour.
Everyone is welcome to participate in our Networking Showcases. In most cases, you can performa song, meet your peers and give us a chance to meet you in person, face to face, in your own town! We also welcome touring members who want to meet other members in other areas. We'd love to have you join us! All genres of music and all levels of experience are welcome to participate. Over the years we've featured hit writers and artists all the way down to people performing live for the first time ever. All events are free to attend and everyone who wants to perform gets a slot! How do I sign up to perform or attend a Roadtrip Showcase or event? We welcome all genres and all level of experience at our shows. If you request a slot, you get a slot. It's important that you understand what these shows are and how they work, so please click and read the Roadtrip FAQ so you understand. If you already are familiar with what we do, then here's a simple form that you need to email us to get a slot on the show lineup. Most shows run between 7-11PM give or take an hour. We normally have 20-40 artists performing in a given night, so we limit performances to 1 or 2 songs depending on time and local circumstances. Most shows can accommodate full bands, but not all of them. We'll contact all registrants with additional details in advance about Backline, Stage Size etc. The info below helps us find the right venues for most people. Also, we ENCOURAGE you to invite your friends to sign up and participate as well. They don't have to be current JPF members, but they DO have to use this same sign up process to get a slot. The more the merrier! To get a performance slot at one or more Roadtrip shows:
