few of the feature films sporting Harold's words and music. Payne's most unique talent is displayed in all his live performances where he connects with the audience by improvising songs 'on the spot' from their song titles.
Internationally, "Music Speaks Louder Than Words", his most frequently recorded work, served as the theme for the Soviet-American Songwriter Summit. Payne participated in Pacific Harmony, another successful gathering of songwriters from around the world, in Bali, Indonesia, and performed at MIDEM Asia in Hong Kong, as well as, numerous concerts and special events in Hawaii and India. On the home front, Harold recently co-wrote and sang the theme for Arnold Swarzenegger's Inner City Games organization, sponsored by Planet Hollywood.
Most recently, he has showcased at 3 NACA events and just participated as a featured soloist in a benefit concert for the United Nations at UCLA in Los Angeles. Harold Payne continues to write, to celebrate, to travel, to perform, and to make a musical difference. The positivity of his music is bound to affect audiences, whether they're longtime fans or brand new listeners.
About the PASS IT ON recording:
"Pass it On" is a rich and sophisticated musical patina paints the sound with acoustic guitars, choral harmonies, and sparking synthesizers providing the frame for Payne's husky heartfelt vocals. In the world of Harold Payne the songs are most important elements, ("the song is king" he states simply), and the ten selections on "Pass It On" are so genuine and natural they sound as if they may have written themselves. The chance encounter, the moment that might have been, the distance between lovers, physical and emotional, and the solitary view where the city lights recede from the window of an airplane and blend into the stars over a dark ocean are all here!" -Dan Kimpel
